Where will the VW I.D. CROZZ and VW I.D. BUZZ be built?

Sometimes it feels like the automotive world can move pretty quickly, but that’s only because many of the big advancements have been developed over many years. It’s only when they are nearly ready for development that we see what has been worked on. Then there are those concepts that are revealed and tease us for years. Such may be the case for the VW I.D. CROZZ and VW I.D. BUZZ, which aren’t set for production until 2022. Five years feels like a long time to wait for anyone who is thinking about getting a new vehicle. We do have some good news though. Is Volkswagen building a truck with Ford?

They say two heads are better than one, and now rumor has it that VW could be teaming up with Ford. In a way, this strategy could make a lot of sense. Though Volkswagen does sell a few pickup trucks to other markets, any options in the U.S. have been decidedly absent. VW recently showed a VW Atlas Tanoak concept at the New York Auto Show, but the automaker seems hesitant to jump headfirst into a segment with such intense competition. On the flip side, Ford does extremely well when it comes to its pickup truck offerings, but has decided to cut cars from its lineup entirely. We know there are some of you out there who are still driving vehicles without cruise control at all, so perhaps this is a “first world problem.” But let’s talk about it: Single lane highways.
