2019 Volkswagen Jetta Glendale CA

Front end and side of the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta

When the VW Jetta first hit the market, it was essentially thought of as a sedan alternative to the VW Rabbit, as the Golf was then called. In the last four decades, that impression has changed a lot as the popular compact car has managed to become something all its own. For the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta, you can expect a complete redesign as the vehicle heads into its seventh generation.

Naturally, you want to know some of the key highlights. Just in appearances alone, you can see the side profile remains sleek, but the front end has a more aggressive, chiseled style that is a bit reminiscent of the refreshed appearance that came to the Passat just a few short years ago.

New standard features in the 2019 VW Jetta

A new look isn’t enough to truly entice shoppers. Though, of course, it doesn’t hurt. The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta is a new option with changes that extend further than looks. The model has a 1.8-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that offers up to 147 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. Paired with it is a standard 6-speed manual transmission or available 8-speed automatic. You’ll note these are upgrades from a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic that were available in the previous generation Jetta.

So what about standard features? We’re pleased to announce that all of the following come in the base, S, trim:

  • Automatic headlights
  • LED exterior lighting
  • Cruise control
  • Air conditioning
  • Multi-function steering wheel
  • Electric parking brake
  • Volkswagen Car-Net App-Connect
  • Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
  • Bluetooth with audio streaming
  • Rearview camera

These are just the features that start you off, with the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta coming in five total trims. Find out more when you contact us here at New Century Volkswagen.
