I'd like to share my experience with New Century Volkswagen, and it's a tale of frustration and disappointment. I recently had my VW ID.4 towed to New Century Volkswagen due to a car issue caused by a power surge from Electrify America. What followed was a series of mishaps that left me thoroughly dissatisfied with their service department. Firstly, they informed me that my car was out of warranty and advised me to file a claim with my insurance company. I signed off on the diagnostic process. To my dismay, they then insisted on waiting for my insurance adjustor to visit before running the diagnostic, causing unnecessary delays. However, things took a turn for the worse when I was told by Alex Olivares that they couldn't proceed until Volkswagen's crew conducted their inspection. This misinformation not only wasted my time but also misled a Volkswagen representative who was under the impression that the diagnostic had been completed. My attempts to contact Leon, the manager, went unanswered until my car issue was escalated by VW's corporate office. It was only then that Leon finally reached out and apologized for the delays. To make matters more confusing, he claimed that a diagnostic had been run, contradicting what Alex had previously stated. At this point, VW's corporate representative intervened, requesting that the dealership provide me with a loaner vehicle, as my ID.4 was still under warranty. Initially, Alex told me that no loaner was available, but miraculously, one materialized after I escalated the issue with corporate. Finally, my car was returned to me with a report, but I was met with resistance when requesting the full diagnostic report with all the issues. Alex seemed unwilling to email it, insisting on printing it instead, which he did with hesitancy. To add insult to injury, I noticed that my car had acquired more scratches during its time at the dealership. While it's true that I had some minor scratches before, the additional damage was most likely caused by how closely they parked the cars. In hindsight, I deeply regret towing my car to New Century Volkswagen. I initially heeded the advice of a VW representative who suggested this dealership, but I wish I had taken my business elsewhere. I am leasing from the Woodland Hills location, and their service department has proven to be far more reliable. I urge anyone considering New Century Volkswagen for service to think twice and read other negative reviews. Their Yelp page has a rating of just 3/5, indicating that my experience is not an isolated incident. It's essential to choose a dealership that values your time and treats your vehicle with care. In my opinion, New Century Volkswagen falls short in both regards.

Been a faithful customer since 2003. The door lock mechanism failed on my 2015 Tiguan. The initial quote was $786. After diagnosis, the total was $893! Very expensive compared to other dealerships. Loyalty means nothing to New Century VW. Three vehicles purchased and countless services later did not garner any favorable results. Avoid this dealership. Their bottom line is not customer loyalty but profit. And to top it off, upon pickup, my car was not even vacuumed/washed. Go somewhere where they know your name and appreciate your business.

I've purchased and leased a lot of cars in my lifetime and never met a more deceptive dealer EVER! They tried to charge me twice for the bank/acquisition fee.........both added in with the price of the car and charged it up front in the inception fees. We wound up leasing the car elsewhere and since found out that New Century has tried that same "trick" on other people that I know. They should be investigated by the Consumer Protection Agency and BBB. They are really worthy of NO stars.

If I can give 0 stars I would. Horrible service department, nobody knows what’s going on, the technician is not around to answer questions and forget about loaner cars. I brought my car in on Wednesday, I was left without a car for a few days, I have to rent a car to get around. I called left a message nobody returns my call. They don’t know what’s going on, they’re waiting for a VW engineers to call but who knows when, nobody knows what’s happening with the car. It was the biggest mistake buying a VW, do yourself a favor don’t ever invest in VW. Horrible car, horrible service department and horrible customer service.

This was my second attempt to do business with this dealer. The first time the finance guy, who is no longer there, tried to rip me off by charging me for the acquisition fee twice, once in the capitalized cost and once in the inception fees. I should have learned my lesson, but when my lease was over and I had a chance to buy my car off lease for $11,800 I was quoted over $15,000 by this dealer. I went to a different VW dealer that night and wound up saving over $7,500. DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALER!!!

The managers/ people running this dealership out of their mind and preying on clueless customers when it comes to car buying. Marking up a car $10k to satisfy the greed is never right. An ID 4 top line at $47k marked up $10k and they think that's ok, you guys are out of your freagin mind. I told the nice sales person kool think we got a deal until he gave me the lease per month price of $1400 at 36 mos= $50,400 plus $5,500 out of pocket adds up to $55,900 for a car worth 47,000 minus $7,500 federal minus $1,500 state = 38000 after the lease is over car residual around $25,000....so slick dealership thought because they are incompetent and rip offs thought would be alright to sell $38000 for $76,400. People is just a Volkswagon not Porsche.

Would honestly give them 0 stars if that was possible. To make a long story they do not conduct their business with integrity. They sold my sister a used vehicle that was genuinely not even safe to drive off the lot and refuse to take responsibility or even assist her in any way shape or form. A warning to all those shopping for a new electric car….whatever you do, do not test drive a Volkswagen. Horrific experience yesterday. Made appointment yet had to pay for mall parking. Then required to fill out a questionnaire on a computer even though they had info to make the appointment. Even the person not driving the car. They required email, address, age, gender, how many children in household and their ages….and that’s just to start. Was told we would have to fill out another survey after the drive and then we could opt out of future emails. Car was nothing special with average battery and way overpriced. Was told that they needed info due to Covid. Yet we drove a Tesla at the beginning of the Pandemic and they only required our drivers license. And we drove a KIA last week and they required our license and our Starbucks preference so it could be ready for us on our drive. The KIA models had nice design and details as did the Tesla , of course. Final indignity was 2 emails from Volkswagen already this morning in which we both had to opt out again but it stated this would not prevent any individual dealership from contacting us. Be forewarned.

We took the car to New Century VW for a recall that we had received on the car. Alex even informed us about a free oil change and also some other free services that our car qualified for. Worst encounter I have ever had a car dealer ship. They lied to me about having a car in stock to get me to drive 40 mi to get here. Once I was there I was told they didn’t have the car Andy hen was narrated by manager Bob Morfin. Bob accused me of being responsible for their misunderstand then after I told him that wasn’t appreciated and was leaving yelled “”Jesus” as loud as he could across the sales floor. I have previously bought a car at this dealership thru broker Century Auto was somewhat pleased how fast everything was processed but recently I brought my daughter again to buy her car we were offered a VW Tiguan that they claimed it was only for test drive so it didn’t have a lot of miles on it but we didn’t even have the car for a month .. and it’s started shaking and making a doing like it was about to break down we contacted the sales guy and he called the dealer to have it checked the sos modem was malfunctioning as well and every single time they want to keep the car for days and they would say car is fine, we took it back and took pics of problems displayed on dashboard and it said it needed oil change, We left the car for two days for them to do the work needed we got the car back with stains on back seat, dirt in the trunk just like if they use it for something else and someone’s shirt left in the trunk. I don’t understand why they are selling a car that hasn’t even been inspected or serviced before selling it to customers!! It’s been three weeks and haven’t even received a response from the several messages left for the service department manager as well as the manager at the dealership. After so many messages still haven’t received a call. I’m so disappointed at the service and the way they manage their screw ups!! Don’t buy your car there!!! You will be disappointed and waste your time with this people!!

we bought our VW Turbo beetle brand-new in 2012. We somehow believed that only a VW dealer should work on the car when it needed servicing. We brought it to new century, Volkswagen. Each time we had to commit to paying $150 to have the car looked at, and as an incentive to pay their inflated repair prices, the money would be credited back to the cost of the repair. Even simple repairs required us to leave the car. There for days and rent a car in the meantime. As I look back. Many of these repairs didn't fix the original problem that we brought the car in for and we had to bring it back, leave it and rent another car. Our service guy Pedro always had an excuse and apologies for the poor mechanical work done by his technicians. They are the epitome of inflated Dealer costs and undependable service. Do yourself a favor and find another dependable Volkswagen mechanic.

Don't expect to get the car you are looking at for the advertised price, unless you finance it through Volkswagen Credit. We had our own credit union financing in place when we arrived at the dealership to purchase a Passat that was advertised for $11,933, when it came down to finalizing the purchase, we were told that if we didn't finance it through VCI, the price would $16,998(Kelly Blue Book). My credit union 4.99%, VCI 8.99% plus a bunch of hoop jumping. Forced GAP insurance etc. Great car and nice people, but if you are paying cash or have your own financing, don't expect to get the car for the advertised price, ours went up by $5,000.

Bought a car there three weeks ago cash. A 2016 VW Jetta. It had very low miles. It took me a while due to me being undecisive which I could tell was starting to upset the sales agent. I saw a car I was interested in. I did a walk around of the entire car. I did notice some scratches under corner of the front bumper and figured it was minor. Went for a test drive and fell in love. Although I was paying cash, I was there almost five hours waiting on the forms that needed to be signed. I finally signed all the forms and then went to the cashier dept. I didn’t have the exact purchase amount of the vehicle, whoever does and was due back some change in the total amount of $22.66 which they said I could have mailed to me or I could pick it up. I have yet to receive it thru the mail. On top of that a few days later I noticed some color discoloration on the paint on the bottom of both passenger doors the same side where the front bumper was scratched. Apparently the previous owner ran on top of the curb. It Cost me an additional $700 to fix that. I called them about my money and the paint job. Was told by a sales rep. “I know you don’t think we’re gonna give you money towards that. If it doesn’t interfere with the mechanical part of the car then we’re not liable” . Really, okay anyway well where’s my money from the change you owe Which I don’t think I’ll ever get. They transfer you from one person to the next when you have an issue it seems. I love my car but won’t be going back to them ever again.

I have a 2015 Jetta and my car service only here. The techs are always very helpful with my questions and make sure my car is in perfect condition. I'm thinking of getting a new lease for a new Jetta and Oscar Garcia who I met while I was visiting the dealer for service, showed me the new lease options and that's when I got so excited to know I could trade in my car. I drive their top of the line 66k touareg tdi executive, and what an assholes to treat a customer in such a way. I turned in my car for a service for front steering wheel noises, which they did not even provide or asked to give a rental car to make the customer happy as its not my fault their car is not as its supposed to be. It has been 2 days and I have not gotten nor received a call regarding an update. I really need a car and this as s holes are not responding. First I called and spoke with someone that said your car is handeled by Pedro, and he cares less about everybody and he left. What a professional way of talking with a customer. Then told me that he will find out and call me back which he never did, It had been one hour I am trying to talk with someone at the dealership from service to business office to managers of the dealer. All they do is transfer the calls and put on hold. Nobody is answering to find out the status. Bunch of crap working together. I had owned 3 cars by them and will not get it anymore. Shame on everybody.

When I purchased my 2012 Volkswagen eos on August 2,2014 two weeks after my purchase my convertible top was giving my an error whenever it would close. I took it to NEW Century Volkswagen where i purchased it they said they fixed it , the next day I had the same problem i was furious to know that they didn't take my case seriously being the place I purchased my car from. So I had to drive ALL the way to to Glendale from Palmdale. I took it back told them that they didn't do anything to fix it, they apologized , plugged my car in the computer no errors where giving just that my switch from the driver window was no replaced . The service MANGER himself said that "this window switch should have been replaced when the certification process was being done before the car was placed for sale" that made me think then was the world auto certification process made effectively or just in a hurry to sell the car. My problem has been going on for 5 months now and no repairs has been made by the dealership . I've taken it a couple of times, The first time I took it Ardash Avakion gladly gave me a rental car knowing that i was 20 years old , under the legal age of renting a car. I didn't know that until the third time i went , they were going to give me a rental car but i am not in the age range they later explained that i am not in the age range to legally rent a car, i was confused to why they gave me one last time. So after wasting my GAS money and time from going to Glendale back home to Palmdale, I took my car to Antelope valley walkswagen the first time i took it they where able to figure out the problem i was surprised and upset to know that New Century volkswagen was unable to figure out the problem the first time . ON top of that i have numerous times asked them to give me a 112 inspection copy of my car, and they have always said yes we will send it right away and I still haven't received it. I need to make sure that I actual bought a certified car from New Century Volkswagen. If i didn't then they sold me a car with problems , and they knowing it. I still haven't had my car fixed, its going to know 6 months this IS NOT OKAY ! Ive been waiting on Antelope valley volkswagen and they are waiting on the Region case manger at the volkswagen to give an okay on my top and truck that WON"T open or close at all now. This will be the last time i EVER purchase a VOLKSWAGEN from New Century Volkswagen on 1220 s. Brand Blvd glendale ca 91204 . I am no even sure that they sell certified cars they probably just do a quick check to sell the cars and get their money. Such a disappointment !
